Here is the complete detail of your 15-day cycling north Vietnam tours
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Greetings from Vietnam!
After you land at Noi Bai International Airport, our car and tour guide will transport you to the hotel, where you may check-in, unwind, and discuss a quick schedule for the next several days with our guide.
You may now take a cyclo bike through the busy Old Quarter to see Hanoi’s antique and modern splendor.
Following that, you will join in a special welcome meal in a restaurant serving traditional Vietnamese food and spend the night here.
Day 2 – 3: Thai Nguyen – Bac Son – Quang Uyen Cycling Tour
After breakfast, our driver will take you out of the bustling city to Thai Nguyen province, where you will visit one of the beautiful hilltop ethnic minority museums.
Our first cycling day will start from Thai Nguyen to Bac Son Town, located in a vast valley surrounded by mountains stretching to the north.
You will relax at Bac Son town for 1 night. It’s best to wake up early in the morning to see the peaceful countryside and explore the daily life of the local people.
Then, we will cycle through the incredible valley to visit one of the first historical sites – the Bac Son museum, which displays documents, pictures, and projects related to the Vietnamese revolution against the French.
After that, we will go on to climb the long road to That Khe junction to have a picnic lunch. When coming to Dong Khe, the bus will take the group to the hotel to have dinner and take a rest.
Day 4: Quang Uyen – Ban Gioc Cycling Tours
Enjoy 17 kilometers of scenic undulating roads, thatched-roof stilt houses of hill tribe villages nestling in peaceful valleys and soaring limestone mountains.
Our cycling route will turn right and accelerate the first 7 km challenge with sharp turns. However, you will be rewarded with breathtaking scenery and panoramic views of towering mountain ranges.
Upon reaching the slopes, we will regroup for refreshment before heading down the scenic valley to the second pass.
We conquer the 5km long pass into Ha Lang town and then turn right onto the border ring road between Vietnam and China. Let’s test our cycling skills and experience on the long, final slope in the middle.
After conquering three steep passes, we will enjoy a great picnic lunch at the top, then continue to ride and enjoy the scenery of the two countries across the river.
Day 5: Ban Gioc – Tra Linh Bicycle Trip
We will start a day cycling through the mountains of Non Nuoc Cao Bang, viewing the beautiful landscape and lush rice fields when we walk along the border belt, cross the bamboo bridge, and then cycle on single-dirted tracks through quaint villages and rice fields.
When you arrive in Trung Khanh, regroup and rest for a while. Our journey will turn into the opposite road and track again to Tra Linh town. Lunch upon registration.
After lunch, we cycle on the dirt road through the peaceful countryside and rice fields leading to Tra Linh town.
Day 6 – 7: Tra Linh – Cao Bang – Bao Lac Cycling Tours
We will set off to Pac Po, where President Ho Chi Minh first set foot in Vietnam after 30 years of living and working abroad.
On your journey through serene towns, take in the pristine nature and stunning views before traveling to Cao Bang city and spend a night there.
Enjoying the morning meal on day 7, we will then leave the hotel and begin a brand-new 45 km bicycle trip. Then we take a detour onto a solitary road that leads to the forest and the China-Vietnam border.
You will have a chance to experience the bike uphill at the beginning and downhill in the middle, then continue riding it downhill.
Day 8 – 9: Bao Lac – Meo Vac Lung Cu Flagpole – Dong Van Bicycle Tours
On today’s cycling northeast Vietnam tours, you will enjoy a whole day of cycling through the stunning land along the magnificent Gam River. Following Highway 34A, we will cycle 23km to cross the Gam river’s Northern bank via a newly built bridge and then take a picnic lunch.
We will arrive at the hotel around 16:30. After check-in, you will get time to explore the town.

On the day of the Tiger or the Monkey, the group will visit Lung Phin market, which is 17km from Meo Vac in a remote region, then cross the Ma Pi Leng pass 28km to Dong Van town.
Day 10: Dong Van – Yen Minh Biking Tour
You will say goodbye to Dong Van and leave at 08:30, following road 4C and going from one valley to another to reach Xa Phin valley.
Then, we will stop to visit King Hmong’s Palace, which ruled the Hmong people and controlled the opium trade until 1945. We pass by Sung Muoi Hmong village and have a lunch break at Pho Bang.
We then continue cycling from Pho Bang to Yen Minh via Pho Cao pass, with a beautiful view of Yen Minh valley. The group will arrive at Kien Thao Hotel in the middle of the afternoon. Check-in at the hotel and relax.
Day 11: Yen Minh – Quan Ba – Ha Giang Biking Tours
Depart at 08:30 by cycling a 2 km flat, even route from the hotel and then challenge 19 km to reach the peak of Yen Minh pass. The winding, steep route provides spectacular views of the enchanted valley below.
Take a stop with some tea at the top before cycling 6 km through the valley and 18 km downhill to Can Ty commune.
The group will visit Nam Dam village of the Zao people after cycling uphill 13km to Quan Ba town. Your challenge in the afternoon is to conquer Quan Ba Pass, Then moving to Ha Giang.
Day 12- 13: Ha Giang – Tan Quang – Thong Nguyen – Bac Ha Cycle Tours
Everything is relatively easy today.
We will leave Ha Giang quite soon, cycling to Ban Me on the 55km long runway and crossing the Sushi Pass. After the picnic, our journey will head to Panhou Ecolodge to rest and have dinner.
Waking up and fulfilling your energy bar with a hearty meal, we will go on a 29 km trip to Hoang Su Phi town and try climbing 5km outside the city. 40km along an easy-to-go flat road is awaiting to ride from Chay river to XinMan.
Finally, we will climb 18km to the top and conquer 43km up and down the hill to Bac Ha.
Day 14 – 15: Bac Ha – Coc Ly – Lao Cai Bike Tour – Night Train To Hanoi
Today, you can enjoy the morning activities around town or walk to the village to observe the daily life of the hill tribe people.
We will begin our last bike tours Vietnam from the hotel in mid-day. Our journey starts by driving through town; then, we turn onto the village road leading to Coc Ly.
We ride through ravishing landscapes and hill tribe villages to Coc Ly Bridge. Go across the bridge and turn onto the scenic road to Lao Cai city to have lunch here.
After lunch, we will cycle on asphalt and paved roads leading to Lao Cai city and arrive at Lao Cai station to shower and have an early dinner before boarding the night train back to Hanoi.
The express train arrives early in Hanoi city. Then the bus will pick you up and take you to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you are free to explore your city or transfer to the Airport to catch international trips back to the wards.
