Cycling from Cu Chi to Hoian: Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Bike Tour
Our riding guide will greet you at your hotel. Spend time on bike fitting and a tour briefing to prepare for the trip.
Cycle through a rubber plantation to the Cu Chi tunnels location, which was excavated by Vietnamese soldiers during the American war, before departing from the busy metropolis of Ho Chi Minh.
After some “warm-up” activities, it’s time to kick start our cycling Saigon to Hoian tour.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Vung Tau – Phan Thiet Biking Tour
We will embark on a new 10-day cycling Ho Chi Minh trail after a substantial breakfast. This fascinating country is full of highlights, including breathtaking landscapes, exquisite sand beaches, charming villages, and lush paddy fields.
We travel the new highway on our shuttle bus to Vung Tau. After reaching the cycling location, we start riding on back and tarmac roads while passing through dragon fruit and rubber plantations.
On our trip to the near shore, you can also pass a few tiny fishing towns. The first day of cycling will end at Mui Ne, a lovely and serene white sand beach. Here, you can cool off after a day of cycling and take in our first ocean sunset.
Day 3: Phan Thiet – Da Lat Cycling Tour
Get up early to see the dawn over the beach and have a hot cup of coffee in the pool before starting a new, difficult day. We leave the shore and start climbing towards the Central highlands.
Several coffee and tea plantations, pine woods, and flower gardens will appear at a greater altitude. Dalat is encircled by a lake and is situated between waterfalls, forests, flower gardens, and rolling hills.
This is the best time to fill up your camera film with the magnificent masterpieces of Mother Nature. The night at Dalat will be a bit chilly, but it makes the best chance to have a campfire. The morning there is also crisp, peaceful, and clean, so try to take in the fresh air in the pine forest nearby.
Day 4: Da Lat – Nha Trang Cycle Tour
Cycle around the lake in Highland City in the morning in the beautiful weather before turning off to go to Nha Trang. From New Bu Dop and Nui Ba National Parks, we can pass through some unique pine woods and towns of hill tribes.
They are home to some of the ethnic minorities in Vietnam’s highlands. On the way to Nha Trang city, we also go via a fishing village on a sealed rural road.
The neighborhood eatery serves up fresh fish that has been roasted over charcoal in the evening.
Day 5 – 7: Nha Trang Boat Trip – Tuy Hoa – Quy Nhon – Quang Ngai Bicycle Tour
It’s a relaxing day without cycling today. In the morning, our destination is the bay. The boat brings us to fishing islands, the Hon Mun and Hon Tam islands, a coral island, and the Tri Nguyen aquarium.
It’s time to swim and snorkel to see the variety of vibrant coral.
On day 6, our shuttle van will take us to Vung Ro for the day of riding. Beautiful scenery, white gold dunes, and fishing farms will make your day.
Take time in a fishing community to chat with pleasant locals or say hello to schoolchildren. After lunch in Tuy Hoa, we cycled along a lovely route to Quy Nhon, passing through several tranquil towns. We will spend one night there.
Starting from the hotel, we begin the 7th day by riding north along the newly paved route. You will pass through a charming and calm hamlet and fishing farms on the lovely route. It is worth seeing the green seawater, one of the most beautiful days of our vacation.
Day 8: Quang Ngai – My Lai – Hoi An Bike Trip
Our shuttle bus will transport us from the busy metropolis to Son Tinh. Here, we will start traveling to one of the bloodiest chapters in the American battle against Vietnam in 1968, the My Lai Massacre.
More than 500 locals were slain when American soldiers invaded these little hamlets of Son My, Quang Ngai Province. Most of them were young people, women, and older people.
A criminal war memorial was constructed to remember the victims from 1968. Thus, don’t forget to pay respects to 504 civilians.
After this memorial, our next destination is the Dung Quat industrial region. Then, it’s time to transfer quickly to Tam Ky for lunch and get to Hoi An.
Day 9 -10: Hoi An Back Road – Departure
Hoi An was recognized as a Vietnamese world heritage site and has attracted millions of visitors. It has served as a crossroads for cultures and managed to maintain its antiquity despite approximately 300 cycles of four seasons.
This unique cultural monument’s architecture and street layout represent the blend of local and international influences. Cycling offers you intriguing challenges in both historic cities and rural villages.
From our hotel, we will travel via a single-track, paved road through serene villages, canals, and coconut palm trees to the bustling town of Hoi An.
It’s a brilliant idea to take some photographs of the Japanese-covered roof bridge. Communal housing, ancient pottery villages in Thanh Ha, a Tra Que herb village, and a Thuy Linh workshop making lampshades are also worth your visit.
Then, we will travel to Cua Dai to swim in the commanding sand beach after lunch. After lunch, you have free time to explore the ancient town and enjoy a night stay in a hotel.
The next morning, have breakfast in the hotel and go shopping till the flight departure time. Then, we conclude our service and sincerely appreciate your participation in our tour of Saigon to Hoian by bike.
Swim in green water on a crystal-clear beach while admiring the gorgeous limestone mountain outcroppings in the central and southern Vietnam bike tour. Consuming fresh fish at a restaurant with Asian decor.
The Cu Chi Tunnels steel triangle region offers the bicycle a unique opportunity to explore while taking in the breathtaking natural splendor.
The scenery when cycling from Cu Chi to Hoian should be worth your try! Take time to enjoy this special experience.
