Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Hanoi, the charming capital of Vietnam. Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted and taken to the hotel for check-in by the local guide and driver.

After a short break, meet your guide again to do a brief itinerary for the next Vietnam mountain bike tours. Then, get a glimpse into the bustling Hanoi by a cycle tour to the Old Quarter, the most engaging, lively, and colorful place in Hanoi.

This wonderful 45-km biking tour cycles through the splendid landscape of terraced rice fields, which have been carved into the mountains over centuries. You continue conquering an 8-km ascent steep to admire the magnificent view of Tu Le Town. 

Next, roll down to Tu Le for lunch before heading to the amazing Khau Pha Pass (25 km long). 

Afterward, you reach Mu Cang Chai, known as “The Forgotten Land in Vietnam”, boasting an authentic beauty. Immersed in a beautiful landscape composed of photogenic rice terraces, scattered traditional houses, and lush forest.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen Bike Tour

The biking route from Mu Cang Chai to Than Uyen is truly impressive, with the spectacular scenery of verdant terrace fields seen on the top hills.

Undulating roads along the river and hillside lead us to the summit. You will be amazed by the stunning panoramic views of vertiginous rice terraces classified as a Special National Heritage. Then, you can enjoy the exceptional photogenic scenery with snacks, coffee, and tea on top of the hill.

You will ride to Mu Cang Chai for lunch before visiting Mu Cang town. Then leave for Than Uyen.

Day 5: Than Uyen – Bao Ha Bike Tour

Say goodbye to Mu Cang Chai and hop on the mountain bike for a challenging yet rewarding journey to Pho Rang Town. 

Along with some winding routes with sharp turns and hairpin curves, you will experience different terrain types, from paved roads to uphills. The last section follows the new highway to reach Bao Ha and Pho Rang Town.

During this cycling trip, the support vehicle is always available to assist you in any route you feel hard to overcome.

Day 6: Bao Ha – Ha Giang Bike Tour

After breakfast, let’s go! This next destination is Quang Binh Town in Ha Giang Province. This leisurely ride on the flat pavement crosses a beautiful setting of authentic villages, lush cinnamon forests, and fascinating rice fields.

Day 7: Ha Giang – Yen Minh Bike Tour

We continue the trip with the head out of Ha Giang Town and commence with a 25-km biking route on sealed roads before being followed by another 25 km of biking uphill. The winding road leads you to Quang Ba District. 

Climbing 800m towards Heaven Gate 1. From the viewpoint, you remember to take note of the amazing views of limestone mountains, Twin Hills, Tam Son valley, and Quang Ba Town.

You have lunch in Quang Ba, then go downhill. Riding along the bank of Gam River until we reach another pass. From there, you will experience some additional uphill and downhill parts before reaching Yen Minh. Along the way, encounter locals wearing traditional costumes carrying heavy loads for miles.

Day 8: Yen Minh – Dong Van Bike Tour

You enjoy the amazing ride from Yen Minh to Dong Van, one of Vietnam’s best mountain bike tours. After getting out of Yen Minh Town, you are surrounded by a striking landscape of dramatic peaks and limestone rocks.

Get lost in the tranquility of nature and capture amazing photos as much as possible. En route, you should also visit Hmong King Palace (Vuong Chi Sinh’s Palace).

Afternoon, keep riding up to Lung Cu Pole Flag Tower, the northernmost pole of Vietnam in Ha Giang. 

Late afternoon, you return to Dong Van Town on the back road. Check-in and relax at a hotel in Dong Van.

Day 9: Dong Van – Meo Vac -Bao Lac Cycle Tour

The winding road, which carves a terrifying path out of the mountainside, offers you a thrilling experience. Admire the terrific landscape of the epic Ma Pi Leng Pass.

Day 11: Cao Bang – Tra Linh Bike Tour

The North Vietnam mountain bike tour is getting more interesting with this historical expedition to Pac Po. This relic site used to be the first residence of Ho Chi Minh President from 1941 to 1945 after his 30 years of living and working abroad.

The special national relic site witnessed one of the most significant development stages of the Vietnamese Revolution. Many important associations, such as National United Front, Viet Minh Front, and the later Vietnamese People’s Army, were also established here. 

Pac Po is not only special with its historical value, but it is also awe-inspiring to any visitor by its wild beauty. The setting, surrounded by rugged rock mountains and wild forests, increases its attractiveness. 

After visiting Pac Po, we hop on the bike to ascendingly ride to Heaven Gate. 

At noon, you will have a picnic lunch on the peak. Then, keep descending riding to  Tra Linh Town.

Day 12: Tra Linh – Ban Gioc Bike Tour

This awesome Vietnam cycling tour continues up to the nearby Chinese border. Follow the dirt track trail to Trung Khanh Province, then keep riding to the core of  Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark; we catch the gorgeous scene of Ban Gioc Waterfall at 30 meters high and 300 meters wide, flowing into Quay Son River. 

Admire the wonderful natural formations of cliffs, unique-shaped rocks, and cascading waterfalls. Have a swim or kayak in Quay Son River before check-in at the resort.

Day 13: Ban Gioc – Quang Uyen Bike Tour

Wake up in the early morning to enjoy the freshness and extraordinary scenery of Ban Gioc Waterfall. Once everything is ready, we move to Quang Uyen. 

The scene along the journey to Quang Uyen is very typical of Cao Bang’s topography. We catch a poetic view of rolling mountains, verdant paddy fields, rugged limestone hills, and quaint villages of hill tribes. Amazingly, you can catch images of farmers and water buffalos working in the vast fields.

Day 14: Quang Uyen – Bac Son Bike Tour

The ride today follows the historical National Road 4D via That Khe and Dong Khe town. En route, drop-off at former battlefields Dong Khe and That Khe against French troops in 1950. 

After lunch, experience a 15km uphill ride to the summit of Bac Ai Pass and a 15km downhill to the bottom of the valley. The two last sessions are an uphill part to Van Minh and the tarmac road leading to Bac Son.

Day 15: Bac Son – Hanoi 

Take advantage of this last morning to climb on the top of Na Lay Mountain and enjoy the vista view of BacSon Valley. 

After that, cycle through the idyllic valleys of Vu Lang and Huu Lung until reaching the meeting point for vehicle transfer to Hanoi.
