First Day Of The Vietnam Bike Tours 2023: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh city – or Saigon by the local people. Take a break at your hotel for as long as you need. For the first day of the Vietnam cycling tours, you will get to know the city and make friends with our guide team, who will take you to various locations in the town as a start.

Feel free to take photos of the scenery, enjoy local dishes, and visit city attractions such as the Presidential Palace or War Crimes Museum. You can stroll around the cities and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the friendly people here.

Day 2-3 Cu Chi Tunnels – Cai Be Cycle Tour

Rise and shine! As soon as the sun appears, we will board the first shuttle bus to an old U.S military base on the outskirts of Saigon to collect our bikes; then, we will cycle for 30 minutes to our first destination: the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels.

Cu Chi Tunnels is one of the most remarkable underground constructions in the world. It was built as a command base for the Southern Vietnam Resistance forces against the Americans and their henchmen government. We will spend the afternoon visiting the area before moving to Cai Be and resting for the day at a homestay.

Cai Be district is famous for its iconic terrains, consisting of river-land mixed towns. The day’s spotlight is the floating market, where you can visit and purchase food and souvenirs and even eat meals on a simple boat!

In the afternoon, we will cycle across the Mekong Delta to return to Ho Chi Minh City. The total cycling for the day will be approximately 51 kilometers, through a lot of rice fields, orchids, and riverside villages. You can visit one of the gardens along the way and enjoy fresh fruits!

Day 4-6: Mui Ne – Dalat Biking Tour

After a healthy breakfast in a restaurant in Saigon, the next destination is Mui Ne, a beautiful coast in the south. The transfer from Saigon should take approximately 3 hours to reach Phan Thiet City, where we can cycle for another 50km to Mui Ne. Here, we will spend the day on the beach and enjoy local delicacies and the salty sea air.

The next day, we shall move to explore the Central Highlands up north. Taking another bus with our bikes to the foot of Da Lat mountain ranges should take us approximately 5 hours, and after a short break, we will start cycling uphill.

You will be stunned by the fantastic view along the way, such as endless pine forests, coffee plantations, and flower gardens. Da Lat is famous for its magnificent beauty and astonishing climate, which the French discovered. We will reach the city by the evening and spend the next day resting and visiting the city.

Day 6-8: Bidoup N.P – Nha Trang Bike Tour

At the beginning of day 6, we will ride downhill to one of the most significant forests of Vietnam: Bidoup Ba National Park. This is the home for various rare plant species and wild animals, but it’s very safe! Don’t hesitate to brave the forests and make some sweet memories!

Take your time to visit the surrounding areas where ethnic communities reside, such as Cham, Khmer, Mong, Cham, etc. You will have a chance to experience their lifestyles, buy traditional souvenirs, and enjoy local delicacies. After approximately 4 hours of riding on off-road paths, we will reach Nha Trang and stay for the night.

Nha Trang is one of the most beautiful seaside attractions in Vietnam. Here, we will stay and enjoy the warm, sunny white sand beaches and the calm wind from the sea. You can participate in many activities, such as snorkel diving, boat riding, gliding, etc.

Day 8-10: Nha Trang – Buon Ma Thuot Cycling Tour

Say goodbye to the beaches; it’s time to brave the mountains again! This will be the last stretch in our cycling journey and the hardest, so we suggest you rest before leaving. As usual, we will take a shuttle bus to a nearby village before cycling to the center of the area.

Here, in the heart of the highlands, you will experience the best scenery of this region. While pedaling through the beaten off-road tracks, we will pass through waterfalls, majestic cloudy mountains, and beautiful streams. Buon Ma Thuot, a valuable gem of Tay Nguyen Highlands, lies at the heart of Dak Lak.

Spending the next day in Buon Ma Thuot allows you to meet and experience Giarai and Ede ethnic groups, listen to their traditional instrument festivals and ride elephants! This city is also a historical witness to the last major battle between the Vietnam People’s Army against the control of the Southern Vietnam government.

Day 11: Buon Ma Thuot – Ho Chi Minh City Departure

Let’s wake up early to listen to birds singing in this highland. The atmosphere in the morning there will be crisp with sunshine kissing your face. On such a fresh morning, it’s best to enjoy a cup of hot, bold coffee with banh mi.

The exciting trip to Buon Ma Thuot ends our bike tours Vietnam here. We shall send our bikes home and board a plane from Buon Ma Thuot airport to Tan Son Nhat airport, Ho Chi Minh City. Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs for your loved ones!
